Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Deep. ("we", "us", or "our") is a Pomodoro focus app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We designed Deep. with privacy in mind — the app works offline and we collect only what is necessary to provide the service.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

• Name and daily focus goal (entered during onboarding, stored locally on your device)
• Tasks you create within the app (stored locally on your device)

Information collected automatically:

• Focus session counts and durations (stored locally on your device)
• Purchase and subscription status (managed by Apple via the App Store; we receive a confirmation of entitlement status, not your payment details)

AI Task Coach (Premium): When you use the AI task analysis feature, the text of your task description is sent to our secure backend (hosted on Supabase) and forwarded to Anthropic's API to generate a structured breakdown. Task text is not stored on our servers after the response is returned.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the app's features
• To verify premium subscription entitlements
• To power the AI task coaching feature (Premium only)
• To send focus reminders, if you have granted notification permission

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your focus data, tasks, and settings are stored locally on your device using encrypted storage. Subscription tokens are stored in iOS Secure Enclave (via expo-secure-store). We use industry-standard TLS for any data transmitted to our backend.

5. Third-Party Services

Deep. uses the following third-party services:

• Apple App Store / StoreKit — subscription billing and trial management. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat — subscription status management. Subject to RevenueCat's Privacy Policy. RevenueCat may collect a pseudonymous device identifier.
• Supabase — secure backend infrastructure for the AI feature. Data is processed in the EU. Subject to Supabase's Privacy Policy.
• Anthropic — AI language model used by the task coaching feature. Task descriptions are processed transiently. Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

6. Children's Privacy

Deep. is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights including access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Because most data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it by uninstalling the app. For any data held by our backend or third-party services, please contact us.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
